Alum: Stanford has a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere, much needed for students. It’s in a prime location that provides easy access to anything you need. I hear people have travelled from different places just to come visit the campus. The professors are great and they’re all rooting for your dreams and vision for a greater future. The library has an extensive amount of resources that any student/alums can access to, which gives each researcher great resources to further their paper and/or research. This school has everything you need to build a solid foundation in your future career. Stanford gives the “power of education” a new name.... Read 1 review

Current Master's student: To provide some context, I am currently attending NYU in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development to earn a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. The program is excellent in the sense that it is organized, comprehensive, and highly individualized as the class size is so small (capped at 40 per year). The program is designed to mold each student into well-rounded, generalized practitioners which sets a great foundation for us if we choose to further our careers with certain specialties. The professors of this program are without a doubt some of the most passionate people in the field and it shows during their lectures and how they interact with students. Professors highlight that while yes they are teaching us, they also learn from us with our new perspectives as well which evenly places importance on both the professor and the student. Overall, I would highly recommend this program to anyone pursuing a DPT degree.... Read 19 reviews

Doctoral Student: As a full-time staff member, part-time student, the academic rigor has been challenging yet fulfilling. The first year is designed to get a doctoral student acclimated to the level of academic rigor expected, familiar with the "lay-of-land" and introduction to research and the higher education landscape. I took a long gap between getting my masters and now pursuing my doctorate degree, so ramping up to handle the level of research needed to include the amount of reading required, and levels of presentations/activities required was a learning and balancing curve.... Master's Student: My experience with Wheelock College has been limited since I have not officially started at the University. I have limited experience with the school and faculty. In terms of the counseling department, and the admissions team have been extremely helpful and overall thorough. The faculty seems quite kind and open as well. Wheelock college is definitely a welcoming and unique place for one to take opportunities.... Read 5 reviews

Master's Student: The best parts of my program have been the field experience and collaborating with other individuals in my classes of different age groups. I have learned an immense amount from my colleagues in all of my courses and find that we support each other in a way that I never experienced as an undergrad at Miami University. In this field of work it is important that you have people who you can lean on and go to for questions and I have found that here in this program. I would say the only thing that I dislike about this program is how it is completely online. I say that only because I would love to have in-person classes with my colleagues to make those supports and relationships stronger. Overall this is an awesome program that Miami provides and I could not be any happier with my experience.... Read 1 review

Master's Student: I totally loved the learning and experience I received at Moody Theological Seminary. The professors were very knowledgeable and helpful. My classmates were amazing individuals that were eager to learn and this made the whole schooling experience a pleasurable one. I was in-person, beginning 4 years prior to the pandemic, so being on the actual Moody campus interacting with other students, staff members and faculty gave a very safe and validating feeling as people generally made me feel accepted. The college has a shared, but often unspoken value of service to others, as you are more likely to find multiple options and offers of assistance. I really loved my time learning at moody and iI would go back there in a heartbeat if they offered doctoral programs, which they currently don't.... Read 13 reviews

Graduate Student: (Music Department): Wonderful faculty and administrators who work hard for you and who are understanding. It’s easy to be able to work with many of the faculty members in the department, of you desire. Overall, the atmosphere is collegial and non-competitive, and students are helped to become their own artist rather then conform to an expected mold. The program has lots of freedom built in, which works best for students with high motivation/personal goals.... Read 3 reviews
