Graduate Student: The College of Health and Human Services has great opportunities for hands on practical learning! Be prepared for a lot of snow and hills on campus. Great bus system and opportunities for jobs on and around campus. A variety of housing is offered close to campus, a ton of students walk as well as drive. Niche User: I have enjoyed my program very much. The other professors are encouraging, yet, challenging in just the way I need it to grow as a student. I love learning online as well to eliminate the travel of getting to a class. I have learned much and look forward to graduating in the Spring. I had originally gotten my associates degree and worked as a nurse early in my 20's. I have raised my 10 children and now want to move into some administrative work with the experience I've gained. I love the field of health care and look forward to having an opportunity to make an impact here in the U.S. and globally. I have gone to the country of Myanmar now for 3 months at a time every year the past 8 years. I have seen great disparities there in health care and my hope is to be able to go and make a difference working and helping lead them into a better tomorrow for their people by working as a nurse/health care leader. Master's Student: The academic component to the exercise science major was definitely challenging, in the best way possible. The coursework was tedious at times, but once you got the information down, it made all the hard work worth it. The professors were highly educated on each topic at hand, more than I have heard other colleges to be. This was reassuring as the student, that my professors were able to have extensive background in the subject to where any new questions were easily answered and explained in a concise way. Each course was enjoyable, even the courses that will not apply as much to my occupation of Athletic Training.
