Doctoral Student: I have finished the dissertation for my Ph.D. in Leadership with a concentration in business, specifically, strategy and am days away from defending. The degree has paid off by allowing me to consult because of the research that I conducted. While I learned a lot in the courses, the purpose of a Ph.D. is to learn how to conduct research. With the guidance of the faculty, statisticians, APA7 experts, and the graduate writing center, I was able to do that.
While the university is small and relatively unknown, its teaching strategies are on par with schools that cost tens of thousands more. I have published 5 peer reviewed scholarly articles, written with Ph.D. scholars at R1 research universities, and conducted high-quality research that has made me a leading expert in a leadership and business topic. I chose UC because of the price and alumni reviews and am leaving with high-level research skills - I can do advanced statistical tests and analyses! This is a great school!... Read 104 reviews
