Alum: I really enjoy attending UCR, and as a first generation student graduate I was super excited when I got accepted to that school. Now after almost 2 years I have noticed that my department (Sociology) lacks communication, preparedness, and diversity. When attending it felt like I always needed to talk to multiple people to get assistance with my issues or just simply get denied without a reason. It made me regard my choice to major in Sociology instead of Psychology.

Master's Student: Instructors are very helpful and the technology is easy to use. Most of the classes have been somewhat self-paced. So, if you have opportunity to jump ahead and complete assignments early there is that ability. The registrar and veteran services offices are always helpful and call me throughout the year to touch base and offer assistance wherever it may be needed. They have never placed me on long holds or passed me around from department to department. Usually the person you speak with can handle anything that needs attention.
