Doctoral Student: Drexel's flipped classroom curriculum creates a lot of space for medical students to pursue extracurricular opportunities. Because I can watch lectures on my own schedule, I have been able to invest time in research, volunteering, and several school organizations. Additionally, the curriculum itself is set up in a way that makes me feel confident to succeed in bigger-picture aspects of this educational path, like passing Step 1 and being prepared for third-year clerkships.... Doctoral Student: Help and guidance is always around the corner whenever you need it! The staff is extremely friendly and always willing to help if you make time to meet with them and discuss any concerns you might have. Medical school is obviously tough already, however, the professors and deans at LECOM truly care about your success and will always do what they can to help you achieve your goals. I am a current 3rd year medical student on rotations and have been very pleased with my experiences so far. I feel that the curriculum we had during the first two years prepared me well to take and pass both USMLE Step 1 as well as COMLEX Level 1. Aside from this, I have made life-long friends during my time at LECOM that I still keep in contact with every day. I think that the school's location and building makes it so that you're able to get to know your classmates and, of course, there is no deeper bond that gets created between people that are all working hard towards similar goals and aspirations.... Doctoral Student: I am in a class of 13:1 student to faculty ration which offers mentorship like no other. It also provides early clinical exposure starting the first week of school.
