Doctoral Student: I’ve had such an excellent experience at W&L law. The school offers incredible merit scholarships — I currently pay under 10k a year for law school. The professors are typically very good, and often have a significant amount of practice experience, especially compared to other schools. The job outcomes are remarkably good and the alumni network was genuinely helpful during the job application process. Socially, everyone is largely friendly and kind. Lexington is a tiny, but beautiful town. Personally, I have had a good experience (especially knowing it’s a temporary place to live) but if living in a small/rural town would bother you, it’s something to consider.
