Current Master's student: The best part about coming to Stanford are the people and the ability to find a group of friends who are interested in the same things that you may be very interested in . Coming from India, there is a large Indian community here such that I have never felt homesick. The campus does get a bit dead during the holidays but it is to be expected as people who do live in the USA, go back for vacations. Overall the professors are great and are leafing professionals in their respective fields doing some of the most fascinating research in the world. I would highly anyone to come here to experience this type o f workhand play hard culture that is fostered into this place.... Read 3 reviews

Master's Student: I did my bachelors in biotechnology from kinnaird college of women university from lahore, Pakistan. I have recently been admitted to New York University, Tandon school of engineering for masters in Bioinformatics this fall 2023. I have worked as laboratory technician and in pathology lab, quality assurance lab and petrochemical industry. So far my studies have been great especially doing my research on probiotics. I have taken many different courses related to genetics, bioengineering and biosafety and biofuels.Now i’m excited to further polish my skills. The main goal for pursuing my masters program is to to contribute to healthcare society through data analysis and bioinformatics techniques. I would like to do my capstone project related to treating genetic diseases using computer systems. Current Master's student: Overall the program is so great because I’m working full time as a nurse. Capella allows you to be completely self paced and completely online. It works beautifully for my schedule and I really appreciate the responsiveness of the staff and support. I do think, however, I’d like to get more feedback personalized to me after I submit an assignment. I also would recommend updating the websites messaging program between students and professors.
