Alum: I’ll start with the worst, being away from my family. The weather was a change from the sunny California to the cold winters in Colorado. The best thing was being the first generation of my family to graduate not only in one but to majors psychology and sociology. My family coming from a low income based and struggling with four other siblings was hard but pushed me harder for an education to pursue my dreams. My mother struggled with mental illness and addiction that almost cost me my dreams. Master's Student: University College offers great programs and courses, and all of the professors I’ve had so far are extremely knowledgeable and typically work in the field. I absolutely love my courses and have even discovered new educational interests with the help of my courses and professors. Master's Student: I begin graduate school at Naropa next week. I have done extensive research on finding a Somatic Therapy program and the only program and campus that caught my eye was Naropa. From the moment I applied, to my graduate interview, to housing placement the application process has been smooth and my interactions with faculty incredibly positive. The campus looks beautiful and conducive to a successful learning environment and I love that they offer multiple meditation rooms, cohort programs, and off-campus apartment style housing. This program is something I've wanted for many years and put off going to graduate school until I could make this happen for myself, and the field is truly my greatest passion. I look forward to beginning my academic experience and hope I get approved for scholarships that can make this experience an equally smooth transition.... Read 11 reviews
