Alum: I earned a Master of Science in Economics. Lehigh is one the few colleges that offer a Masters separate from a PhD. Overall, this school was a great choice for me. It's about an hour and a half away from Philadelphia (where my family lives). The professors were great and readilty available for office hours. I was also able to get a large amount of financial aid by accepting a Graduate Assistant position. Limited Grad Housing is available. Doctoral Student: Working with Graduate Admissions has been a DREAM. I'm in the first cohort for the Ph.D. program, and they've been instrumental to my success! Even STILL today, Chantelle Petrone Marker & her team have been AMAZING!! They're responsive & supportive - ESPECIALLY as a first-generation, Black student getting a terminal degree! ...Despite being a relatively diverse university, with between 40-50% students of color consistently, the administration is INEPT at supporting students of color. In near-constant racist, anti-Black issues and they manage POORLY at best, which is NEVER acceptable, but ESPECIALLY in this racially charged climate. ...There isn't much intention held around including grad students in the overall college experience (especially for us as Ph.D. students). Master's Student: Arcadia is truly a beautiful campus located in a great area. The classes in the MPH were academically challenging, but still allowed you to think differently and gain different perspectives. The MPH program delves into very socially conscious topics addressing socioeconomic status, access, etc. however wish the passion from some professors was seen more as well as a more comfortable class room setting. I would love to see the diversity change and more LGBTQ+ friendly spaces in the graduate program because the school overall is known to be great for LGBTQ+ students. Additionally, as a part time student, it is very difficult to get the full experience of a full time program with getting close to classmates, etc...Read 16 Reviews
