Master's Student: Dallas Baptist University has a well-structured admissions process. The Admissions Staff was within reach for any inquiries. Likewise, communication was clear despite the distance to the campus. All of my processes were done either on the phone or online. However, it felt so effortless. Additionally, the Program Advisor was accessible even on weekends. he only area needing improvement is the Financial Aid Department. A week into the program, I have yet to receive information regarding the financial aid to be applied to my Fall 2023 enrollment. It can be concerning when one needs to budget each semester. Nonetheless, I can understand the rush they can have knowing that the Fall cohort is always the busiest semester for any federal or institutional aid processing. Even though I am an online student, I've received a warm welcoming. Seems they really go the extra mile to make online students feel as unique as the traditional student. Master's Student: The DEMSN program at Texas Lutheran has been a really good program thus far. The best part about the program is being able to learn materials and then apply them straight into clinical experience. I worked in the ICU during COVID so it has been my passion ever since to continue my nursing education. TLU has been a big part of continuing my education. The difficulties that I have experienced at TLU is that there has been a weakness in communication between the staff at TLU. Master's Student: I will start school this fall, but I'm already having a wonderful experience. I completed a course called Preparing for Seminary, which was very helpful and encouraging. The course provided insight into the expectations of the program and helped me to map out my time commitment and budgeting as they relate to obtaining my degree. I am also taking the opportunity to test our of several courses. As a returning student who graduated from undergraduate school in 1991, all of the new technologies would have been overwhelming had this course not been offered and required. Dallas Theological Seminary has offered several on line gatherings to help students connect and acclimate to the school and to their community. I am very excited to join the Dallas Theological Seminary family to see all that God has for me to learn there.
