Master's Student: I am an international student from Nepal. I came to MSU in January 2019 for my MBA program. I was overwhelmed as I had never been away from family and friends. I found Murray State University to be my other home as everyone made me feel so comfortable. The city is small but people are quite friendly here. Everyone is ready to help you and wherever you go, you get a homely feeling. Many international students come to MSU every semester and there is a warm welcome by faculties and students. I made a lot of international friends here and they have taught me diversity. My experience with national and international friends has been tremendous. I come from a developing country where education is still not available to everyone and everywhere. I came to the USA to develop my self-confidence, grow myself, and learn those things that I would not have been able to learn in my home town. MSU has helped me explore my thinking and given me opportunities to learn more.... Read 2 reviews

Some classes were slightly disorganized for unknown reasons, but the professors disorganization never had a negative impact on me. Doctoral Student: I have finished the dissertation for my Ph.D. in Leadership with a concentration in business, specifically, strategy and am days away from defending. The degree has paid off by allowing me to consult because of the research that I conducted. While I learned a lot in the courses, the purpose of a Ph.D. is to learn how to conduct research. With the guidance of the faculty, statisticians, APA7 experts, and the graduate writing center, I was able to do that. While the university is small and relatively unknown, its teaching strategies are on par with schools that cost tens of thousands more. I have published 5 peer reviewed scholarly articles, written with Ph.D. scholars at R1 research universities, and conducted high-quality research that has made me a leading expert in a leadership and business topic. I chose UC because of the price and alumni reviews and am leaving with high-level research skills - I can do advanced statistical tests and analyses! This is a great school!... Read 104 reviews
