Current Master's student: The Rehabilitation Counseling Master's Degree is a CACREP accreditted program that prepares us to work for and with people with disabilities. The professors are very welcoming and full of knowledge; they are ready to deposit all that knowledge and experience in us. The facilities are comfortable and accessible. The preparation I'm receiving gives me the confidence to know that all of us that graduate from this program will be some of the best professionals in the field of Rehabilitation Counseling. We take classes like Case Management, Multicultural Aspects of Counseling, Medical and Psychiatric Aspects of Rehabilitation, Human Development for people with disabilities, Job Placement, Functional Capacity Diagnosis, Career Counseling for people with disabilities, among others. We also have elective courses like Assistive Technology, Counseling for Victims of Domestic Violence, Reasonable Accomodations, and others. Alum: I had never had an online study experience. In this school I have had a great experience, since the system is very bearable. The teachers are very well trained and the tasks and information they provide is complete. I have learned many things, even when I thought I already knew the basics in some subjects. Alum: My experience at Sacred Heart University was unique. From administration to students. It was 5 years in which I learned enough and what was necessary to promote many social and cognitive skills in my environment. Although finding the time and order was hard, the professors and other faculty members were supportive. Doctoral Student: Being part of AGM University has been a great journey. I take classes every week and the professors are available for you if you have any doubts or questions. They offer one class each 8 weeks which makes it more manageable and gives you the opportunity to just focus on one class. As a full time worker, this modality has helped me to do both; continue studying and working while I am growing professionally.
