Current Master's student: Marshall is a fantastic business program. So far, my academic experience has been nothing short of fantastic. I have never enjoyed school before, but almost every class I have learned new, applicable, and incredibly helpful techniques that I apply in my job every day. Most of the professors are very helpful, and passionate about their subjects. Marshall has clubs for almost every industry, so depending on your industry of interest, Marshall has clubs to prepare you for interviews and get you great exposure, and they're a great way to network as well. If your industry is not represented, you have the opportunity to create one. Marshall is still relatively underrepresented in minority categories like women and people of color, but from my understanding, they are working to improve those numbers.... Read 17 reviews

Other: The Executive Master Business Administration is rigorous and prepares you extremely well for real-world application. Unlike traditional MBA programs, coursework is centered around your current organization, an organization you aspire to work for, or a startup of your own. Coursework is centered around applying what you learn to your real-world situation. Cohorts are small, allowing deeper dives in getting to know everyone, and you are challenged greatly academically. Every term builds on the last, culminating in a final project where all of your course topics are represented in your research and delivery. In my case, my project centered around a new product, business plan with all financials and research, that resulted in my pitching to my company. I highly recommend Pepperdine University's Executive MBA program. Alum: It was an amazing experience. I was able to finish my MBA and just 12 months. Which I had finished right after graduating in three years with my underground. So getting an undergrad and a masters only took four total years. The professors are extremely helpful and understanding all the time. If you were looking for something in a field that one of the professors has, you should be the one to reach out to them and let them know you're interested. Student life is also awesome! There are so many ways to get involved through clubs, campus activity for events, and beyond. For both undergrad and graduate level. The area around the University of La Verne is directly intertwined with the local community. Current Master's student: I am pursuing my master's in Business Administration, and my concentration is Business Analytics. There is a total of 32 units in my entire graduate program; I completed 4 units with a good score. The teaching quality of the professor is excellent as every professor has a doctorate degree, including many years of teaching experience. There is nothing to be suggested to our professors as the teaching method and pattern is good. My college environment is pretty good and friendly, as an international student it was challenging for me to grab American culture but because of my colleagues and professors, I captured it soon. Current Master's student: Cal Poly Pomona is such a great school. I did my undergrad in the UC System, which is also a great place, but it is just so big, and my personality is just shy, so I really struggled. Now, in graduate school, Cal Poly Pomona has been a much better experience for me. Maybe graduate school in general might be like this, but it's smaller class sizes, the professors are very understanding. I am in their part time Masters of Business Analytics program. They have evening hybrid (online and in person) courses, and so far I am really enjoying it. Also, their motto is "Learn by doing," and that is exactly the type of learner I am. There is a big emphasis on projects, homework, in-class assignments. It's very easy to do well as long as you put in the work. Doctoral Student: The staff at this school are so dedicated towards ensuring that their students succeed. They do this through complete transparency, ensuring students are financially literate, creating mentorship relationships with upperclassmen, regular check-ins, and so forth. It was immediately clear that this school is very invested in the well being of their students. They are aware of the unique difficulties that each student faces and they work hard to help any way that they can. Going back to school can be hard, but I felt so much more confident and secure in my journey when I saw how supported each individual is. They also ensure that students are fully aware what the next 5 years looks like, how we will achieve our milestones along the way, and what resources are available to help us get there. Graduate Student: It is an Excellent College. I studied in this College for my part-time MBA while I was working full-time with Kaiser Permanente IT. I wanted to improve my management skills, interested in Promotion Opportunities. As part of Tuition Reimbursement Program, I signed up for this university. College has low fee structure. has good faculty in Finance, Economics, Management, Marketing. As part of the finance class, I got knowledge about Stock Market and traded in the stock market and made some money. College also has good tie ups with business communities. As part of that I met a few graduates from the college who were doing well in business. This improved my sense of business. Alum: I completed my master in public administration from the MPA program at CSUSB. The professors are experienced, educated, and different. Different in the sense in how they teach their classes in their own unique ways that truly brings your colleagues and yourself closer to work together on class projects and homework.
