Current Master's student: I am currently in the Evening MBA program, and I do enjoy that this particular program is not structured, so you get a choice as to what you want your electives and functional courses to be. These electives and functional courses can let you create a "track" for yourself (such as finances, real estate, law, marketing, etc.) without being constricted to the classes of those specific programs. Also while it is an evening MBA, meaning all your classes are from 6-9pm, you can still be full time or part time, depending on your other commitments and you can change it by semester as well. If you decide to go full time you still pay the same as those that are in the official full time program, but once again you are offered a lot more flexibility than the other programs which I enjoy.... Master's Student: I've learned so much thus far in my Master of Accountancy in Governmental Accounting program at Rutgers Business School. The best part is being able to work full-time and take courses online that are convenient to my schedule, as well as learning pertinent information that is relevant for my job (I work for state government as an auditor). A drawback is that because the courses are all online, I don't get to interact with the professor and classmates as much, which I really value being able to have in-person/virtual discussions to learn more. Overall, it's a very valuable academic experience, and I hope to carry forward what I'm learning in my professional career, and be a leader and resource for public sector work.... Read 7 reviews

Master's Student: Overall I’ve had a good experience at Fordham thus far. I’ve enjoyed all of the people I’ve met through the program and the flexibility of courses that you’re able to take without having to choose a specific concentration if you don’t want to. The cons would be that some of the professors do not operate as if it’s grad school. For example, not letting us use excel on an exam and focusing more so on the exams vs actually learning the information. There is also too many required classes that are needed to be taken from a “flex core” list that are needed to graduate.... Read 8 reviews

Master's Student: The academics were a great way to understand the basic concepts for business analytics with classes on programming, visuals, tools, and other software being used in firms today. While being enrolled, they offer sudents the chance to use these resources first hand by providing problems and guidance on how to use them correctly. With that said, since the program is fast-paced, I felt that each class focuses on to many different sources and was never able to fully gain the skills needed to use them with confidence. Also, since there are other software or tools being used that were not discussed in this program, such as PowerBI, the need to take other certifications or classes will may still be necessary to gain knowledge on a specific one. But, it is still a great program to understand what business analytics entails and other information that is useful for success completion of projects and how big data is transforming and benefitting organizations in our world today.... Master's Student: St. John's University is a Catholic university that excels at communication. The Professors are empathetic and always willing to work with students via long distance. The courses are as rigorous as one would expect from graduate level courses. Professionalism and participation are expected. The advisors, from my limited experience, are knowledgeable about the courses to further your education but as far as providing guidance could be more proactive. The system for long-distance education is BlackBoard and every teacher sets the program up differently so it is essential to make sure that you are comfortable with navigating BlackBoard before you begin as they lack a "crash course" for this system. The cost for a graduate program is on par with many MBA graduate degrees. Overall, I like St. John's University commitment to the students and know that I am getting my money's worth.... Master's Student: The course work is challenging and engaging. Commitment and time management are crucial in succeeding within the MBA program at Iona College. With that being said, there are many tools and options that students can use within Iona College to help them do well in their course work such as the on campus library or even the availability of the technology within the LaPenta School of Business (meeting rooms, desktops computers etc). The professors that I have had so far at Iona College have done an exceptional job at making themselves available outside of lectures and during office hours to help students with whatever challenges they have had within their classes.... Master's Student: The fact that Columbia University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences offers top-notch education is a no brainer. The administration and student financial offices try to help students offset the cost of attendance in a variety of ways, including assistanceships, on-campus employment, loans, etc. but sadly these are still not enough for the majority of students. I hope the school releases a greater funds from its endowment to financially support its students so they can experience healthy, sustainable education.... Read 3 reviews

Alum: The Columbia Negotiation and Conflict Resolution program was top-tier, delving deep into negotiation, led by globally recognized professors. It was as rigorous as any other graduate program at Columbia. My time on Columbia's historic campus was unforgettable. Knowing that many academic leaders had walked the same grounds gave a sense of deep connection to its legacy. Being out of state brought challenges. I wished for more on-campus interactions, but the Canvas platform compensated, ensuring I didn't miss out. It was a go-to for resources and connecting with classmates. The program structure was well-planned. It was organized and effective, starting with the basics of conflict and moving to advanced negotiation and mediation strategies. Blending Columbia's rich history with current academic practices made the program impactful!... Read 18 reviews

Alum: Hello, My time at LIM College was spectacular. The classes are organized, informative and they allow you to go at your own pace.
