Master's Student: McDaniel College's Innovations in Teaching and Learning programs offers a high quality education with relevant courses that expanded my knowledge of the education system. While some content was challenging, it pushed me in a way that stretched my abilities and brought great pride when I was successful.
I greatly appreciate the helpful faculty, as I was heavily pregnant when I first started the program. As I neared my due date, they made clear they would accommodate me, if needed. While I did not need accommodations then, having kept up with my classwork, even in the delivery room, I needed assistance soon after. I fell down a flight of stairs at seven weeks postpartum, injuring both of my arms, left shoulder, and right wrist, which made it extremely difficult to complete online work. My professors saw me as a person and worked with me throughout that difficult time. I ended up finishing my first semester with a 4.0 GPA.
