Master's Student: I am in SLU's professional MBA program. The classes are good, but I have found that some professors give a tremendous amount of work that feels much more like undergrad vs. graduate school. I believe that the program is mostly comprised of recent graduates, so if you're a more experienced professional you should expect to be the oldest in the classroom. Neighboring schools like WashU have switched to offering all classes in-person and online and students have the choice; I feel SLU is behind in offering this benefit. Especially if they want to continue to attract busy professionals and executives who regularly travel for work, despite a pandemic. I like that SLU allows students to waive up to 4 classes based on undergraduate and professional experience. I also like the cost compared to WashU, but I do wish they were on a pass/fail grade system like WashU vs. a traditional A-F scale. I do like that the campus is dangerous. Master's Student: I attended CSC for my undergraduate degree and absolutely loved my program! Very dedicated and knowledgeable professors that are always willing to help! No matter if I had a concern with my coursework, or just needed to talk about personal things going on, my psychology professors, and elective professors were always there for me. In the psychology department, there are so many different areas of psychology that you can dip your toe in. From general psych, to clinical, and even the specialized minor in child advocacy, there is a “niche” for everyone! I am so excited to be continuing my education with my beloved professors for the graduate program. The CSC MAC is a brand new program ran by one of the most brilliant professors on campus. The program offers two pathways, school counseling and clinical mental health. I am confident that this program will help me further my education, connections, and resources within my career. Graduate Student: Missouri Southern has a great online business program that works well for working adults. All ther professors are great and are happy to assist students in the learning process. Their career services department provides excellent tips and assistance in job searching, writing cover letters and building resumes. I'm disappointed in the lack of online options for the master's in management program. The program was designed to be for working professional, but isn't set up that way. The program mainly offers a lot of evening classes several of which begin at 5:30pm, which is not conducive for working professionals.... Read 1 review
