The academics within my program are very interesting. Depending on the class, I could relate real world problems to make assignments which enhanced my learning of the course objectives. Some classes more than others have at least one paper due each week and a final paper due at the end of the class (page ranges differ 10-15). The school provides a variety of assignment types such as discussion boards, group projects, online trainings, etc. There are only a couple of classes where I had to complete a midterm and final exam as course requirements. In my personal experience I would rather had a paper due at the end of class rather than take a test. Another positive aspect is multiple resources are provided through the online Library and websites within the classroom. However, I learn better with textbooks so I would recommend the university having textbooks as an options for students who find them useful. Other than that, I have truly enjoyed the topics I've learned thus far.
I love the School of Health Sciences. The faculty advisors are very involved in the education of their students. They send various emails informing me of opportunities the university has to offer and also other resources to guide me in the right direction of academic advancement. Although the classes are 100% online, having a set schedule of when assignments are due are very helpful for the working professional. Me personally, I didn't think I would like an online setting but the university has made my transition easier with the support of the staff. I have also had many encounters with the finance office who has been extremely helpful. I am paying for school out of pocket and they have been able to answer my questions regarding student aid and other payment methods. Another I like is the ease of registering for classes. Classes open up 4 months in advance so each student has time to plan their semester. I would definitely recommend this university to anyone for a quality education.
