My undergraduate experience at Rutgers is something that I would not trade for the world. The professors gave really great advice and opportunities and the school was diverse in not only the student population but in the majors and fields of study it provided. The student life was also extremely welcoming and the support systems out in place really help students find their way through their college experience. While the football teams leaves something to be desired, the friends and memories are everything.
As a medical student at Rutgers, I've thoroughly enjoyed my academic experience here. I've been given the opportunity to pursue any extracurricular project I've wanted and the main limitations have really just been how much time I personally have for them. The student population as I've witnessed has been very diverse. The faculty are great. There is no on-campus housing for grad students, but finding housing isn't too difficult on your own.
