Online freedom! Great choice of classes, and engaged and informed professors leads to a high level of interest, and a motivated student body keeps students on their toes. GPA's tend to be relatively high in all departments of the graduate school. Cost is also low, but does not reflect the quality of education at this non-denominational Christian school. Never met anyone who attended who didn't believe in Jesus Christ, but if someone did who was willing to learn discursively about Him and our faith in Him, that person would come out with a well rounded understanding of our faith, and an excellent education.

Overall, the academics aren't bad. That said, as a Graduate student, I feel that numerous professors at the Graduate level are too easy on students. On numerous occasions, I've come across discussion board posts or peer-edited a draft of a paper that fall well below the standard of Graduate academia. I always try to provide helpful and polite criticism when I do, but one time it resulted in a peer contacting me to chew me out, insisting that I hurt her feelings and that she feels her work is at a Graduate level. I ended up just apologizing in an effort to be diplomatic, but I still, to this day, maintain that she failed to submit work that was worthy to be called Graduate-level work. Another gripe, there are biased professors who seek, not to promote individual, critical thought, but to indoctrinate. When you don't parrot the concepts and ideas they feed you, your GPA (which you worked hard to earn) will suffer. Yes, I am speaking from personal experience.
This is my first semester at Regent University. I like that Regent professors are kind and caring. I like that the work is interesting and applicable. I would like to continue my education there if I can receive enough grants. I am hoping to receive my Masters in Communication to be of service to my community and the world through valuable communication. I am hopeful that I can learn how to spread love, kindness, self-improvement, and mental health awareness to many people in the future. This degree will help me be prepared to be of service to God and others.
