Purdue University Graduate Reviews

In terms of academics, Purdue provides an excellent graduate education from expert professors. However, when considering work-life balance, there is much work to be done. Most evenings/weekends I find myself struggling not to work due to lack of other options, especially during the colder months. The Lafayette area needs to better develop its social scene to help keep students sane who don't follow collegiate sports or heavily party.
In terms of the Purdue campus, more parking options are needed! I'm lucky that my main building is relatively close to a student lot, but it is not uncommon to have to walk 0.5-1 mile to reach other buildings for class (as both a student and TA). Graduate students should have a higher parking distinction than undergrads and be able to have more parking options. Even a case by case evaluation would be helpful.

Excellent graduate school experience and value for the money! Great instructors and education. So glad to have gotten an undergraduate degree here and to have chosen purdue for my graduate degree too.
I came here from the East coast, with little knowledge of the midwest. Purdue University has been the largest and most beautiful college I have ever attended. The buildings are beautiful, and the location is very liveable. The professors come from all over the world and have a passion for teaching. The students are very diverse and there is a great multicultural scene, and everyone is extremely welcoming.
