I will be attending Spring 2023. However, I have heard nothing but the best news coming from this university. My fiancée's cousin is a current student and he loves the atmosphere and friendliness of the staff and other students. Food is delicious and there are plenty of restaurants on and off campus.
As for the world campus which I will be attending... It is one of the best rated online engineering programs in the US. Courses are Asynchronous, so you can essentially take courses at any given time and at your own pace. For someone like me, who works a full-time job and has a slight learning disability, this is a MAJOR plus! I do not have to deal with the anxiety of having to miss work or class due to scheduling conflicts.

The professors are top notch, and are extremally knowledgeable in their subject matter. My cousin in law is currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. I will be pursuing a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on thermal-fluid science. Penn State has the world renowned START Lab which focuses on turbomachinery testing and development. If this is an interest of yours, I would HIGHLY recommend this school!
I have only just started at the Penn State World Campus, but it really has lived up to my expectations. I was concerned about the social aspect and being able to keep up with the work under little guidance, but my class has made it incredibly easy to follow along. As far as the social aspect goes, I am really pleasantly surprised about how discussion based the classes are, so even though you aren't physically in a room with other people, you still get to know your peers who may be living on the other side of the world! I am a working professional with a full time job, and without my online program, which is novel to Penn State World Campus, I'm incredibly happy with my decision. Without the World Campus, I wouldn't have been able to go back to school to advance in my career.
