Penn State World Campus Graduate Reviews

I love how the World Campus program is highly efficient in navigating through Lionpath and Canvas platforms. The interaction amongst professors and students is highly prevalent; most think with online programs that they do not have much interaction with other classmates; however, Penn State World Campus has proven otherwise. I have established wonderful working relationships with students from all over the world!

PSU World Campus is over priced for the level of education you receive. Professors are not helpful or supportive when problems arise. Several of my classes were "taught" through videos, with little interaction with the professor. The only contact information available is through the online platform Canvas, which professors check periodically. Upon entering my Master's I was told that this degree I was going (MS in SPLED with a concentration in Autism) for was appropriate for individuals working in the Autism field, and that teaching experience was not needed in order to be successful. This was a bold face lie. All but three of my courses have been about teaching and needed teaching experience in order to do well in them. I have been fortunate in that my wife is a teacher and has been able to help me. For this reason, I am transferring at the end of this semester.
Though I enjoy the courses and the pace of work and I appreciate being able to complete assignments over the course of an entire week, Professors are not as accessible as needed considering that the entirety of course are online, and the graduate enrollment office has antiquated rules about allowing students to register and take courses at a PSU brick and mortar campus and students must make a special request each time they wish to do this rather than allowing them to register normally.
