Old Dominion University Reviews

Before attending old dominion I was nervous as many are of the college transition. Nervous because I was in a new location surrounded with people I didn’t know. Nervous about making friends, acceding in academics and making my parents proud. All anxiousness and nervousness left me as soon as I stepped on campus. I was welcomed with open arms by classmates, factuality and staff. It was fascinating seeing all types of cultures, ethnicity’s and people from different background come together and feel as one big family at the university. The diversity created a better learning experience with intriguing open conversations in the classroom. Teachers and peers created a comfortable learning environment which led to better academic success. I’m excited to continue and finish my college experience at old dominion university.

Old dominion University provides a wide variety of courses to all students. My first semester I found myself in classes I’d never thought I’d be in. Psychology in particular was very intriguing, the professor created a hardworking yet relaxed atmosphere. He was encouraging to others and made everyone’s voice be heard. Classes at old dominion were different compared to my high school classes because we really dove into hot topics and issues. Compared to high school it seemed like we only scratched the surface, everyone sharing there thoughts and opinions helped you engage more into what some could think as tough courses. I’m grateful for the teachers and peers who helped create such environments in the classroom.
I love this school! So many opportunities and lots of support! There are many resources available to help. The only thing that you may worry about is parking. They have made my experience great by offering the courses and options that fit my goals.
