Oklahoma State University Graduate Reviews

I am currently a first year Veterinary student at Oklahoma State University (OSU), and I am loving it here so far. I feel so blessed and thankful to God to be here. I'm originally from Texas and just moved to Stillwater, about 4-5 months ago. When I was driving up here I was expecting a middle of nowhere town, with nothing to do other than look at wide open land. However, my expectations were so wrong. Stillwater is small but its big enough to have everything you'll need. On top of that the OSU campus is gorgeous!!
As an Asian coming into OSU I had heard that the school was not that diverse, but that too was wrong. There are many kinds of people here and even the parts that aren't as diverse are filled with so many kind, friendly, and caring people. The teachers at the Vet school are so amazing and always looking for ways to advance students knowledge and careers. The whole vet school feels like a family. Come to OSU for vet school, you'll love it here!

During my senior year, I was completing my student teaching. I was taken advantage of by my cooperating teacher by being forced to complete all work and grading on my own without the help or assistance of my mentor. When I asked for help from the institution, they came to the school and asked me to wait in the hallway as if I were a child. I was not included on the interview to defend my own work. Faculty was unwilling to relocate me and did not offer any other solution but to deal with being mistreated. I decided to leave on my own accord. I had to seek another degree because I was not able to complete my student teaching. Furthermore, they did not refund me for the hours I paid for during my student teaching. So I essentially paid for a semester that I did not receive any credit toward my degree.
It's an excellent school, I'd only improve the connections between international students and American students.
