Oakland University Reviews
Rating 4.31 out of 5 29 reviews
Oakland University provides students with great opportunities for learning. As a physical therapy student, I have had many opportunities to work with other health professional students including medical, nursing, clinical laboratory sciences, social work, and exercise science. Inter-professional development has enhanced my own education as well as improved my knowledge of other professions I would be working with in the real world. Oakland has also provided great campus opportunities for engagement, like volunteer activities and athletic participation. OU's campus safety makes me feel comfortable to be on campus, and everything I need from food, to quiet study time, to exercising is all available right on the same campus where I feel safe enough to walk from one building to the next.
I have only attended Oakland for graduate school and so far it has been a breeze. I am in the physical therapy school and the faculty rates above all else. Each member of the faculty truly care about your success in the program, and they pride themselves in their ability to prepare students for a successful graduation and passing of physical therapy board examinations. I have a small class size which makes learning in the classroom easier while providing better 1-on-1 access to professors. Each of my classes combines lecture with hands on experience in lab work. I also was able to use the state of the art cadaver lab for my gross anatomy experience. I feel prepared to graduate, take my board examination, and start my career as a physical therapist due to the dedication to my studies and support from the faculty in the physical therapy program.
The professors are phenomenal and you'll learn so much! Everyone is very approachable and helpful. It's so nice knowing that instructors have your best interest at heart.
