The part-time Speech and Langauge program is amazing! The professors truly care about your success and want you to be great. It is not an easy program but knowing that they care about you is everything. You're more than a student/student identification number, they see you as a future colleague and that is a great feeling.

I am giving three stars because my department has been good but NAU really deserves a two star. The graduate college was extremely disorganized upon my arrival at NAU and processed everything late, which placed me in a very difficult and awkward situation (I found myself having to borrow money from people I didn’t know). I am an international student who arrived at NAU (my first visit to the US might I add) and one would think they’d be supportive and most helpful. Instead I got sent around to various people repeatedly who wouldn’t take any accountability nor did they go out of their way to help me in my vulnerable position. I was extremely let down and it put me off to a bad start here.
I had a great time getting my bachelor’s in environmental science there because we were able to do many outdoor studies around there and even at the Grand Canyon. They have been easy to work with, on top of everything, nice, quick, and very helpful. I am going back to get my Master’s from them because of these things.
