I haven't attended for long, as I am an incoming graduate student, but I do feel Morgan does carry a mixed bag of expectations. Within my first few months of registering and making sure I was ready enough for the upcoming school year, I came across a lot of obstacles with administration and the overall cohesion of the school. There seemed to be a bit of disjointedness between departments and it became a bit frustrating to deal with as the school year approaches. Although I came across these obstacles, I cannot deny the positive experiences I've had as well. The staff continued to assist me and follow up with any requests or troubles I was having which made the dilemma easier to handle knowing I had support from my incoming teachers. Alongside this, the overall atmosphere of Morgan is one that cannot be replicated. The energy and engagement within the school is what drew me to apply for grad school and is one that I'm excited to experience firsthand.
I haven't been able to attend any classes yet, but I have been able to do some further research and ask questions to my prospective teachers about the courses, and they are very positive. The field placement I'm expected to be involved in allows for me to get a firsthand perspective in being a social worker and will allow for me to make connections within my area of specialized focus.
Morgan states graduate program has very good programs. With affordability being a big thing, Morgan state is a school to be. It is located around the best locations in regards to food, campus life , and other activities.
