Due to the pandemic our courses have been online via zoom so we are missing out on the normal experience to interact with our peers and professors, but despite this they have done an excellent job of trying to get us to connect with each other and have really maximized the on-campus time for us as well to get our hands-on experience.
Since I am in an accelerated program the academics are definitely intense and a lot, but I personally found that as long as you managed your time well it was more than possible to get everything done in a timely fashion (even while working). They are challenging, but just enough where you feel like you really are learning a lot.
The professors are very supportive and the school offers great opportunities for clinical experience.
I've loved the interprofessional experiences I've had at the institute. There are so many opportunities to grow!
It is rigorous coursework, but it is all worth it. The professors all work in the fields they teach, so you know you're getting quality education.
Coursework was very relevant, and I could see how the skills I was learning would translate to my career
I loved how straight forward the admissions process was. They walked me through every step of the process. I would however would like to see my advice in regards to finding housing.
MGH Institute of Health Professions provides an excellent education both in the classroom and through amazing clinical education. The professors go above and beyond to support their students to help them succeed.
They have top academics as well and are associated with the top hospitals in the United States of America. The research conducted is cutting-edge and tips the scales for new and improved interventions.
I am starting school this Fall. They had such an incredible application and interview process and I cannot relay how truly excited I am.
At MGH the level of academics is extremely high and knowledge obtained is also very detailed and well-rounded. Students are prepared to become a very strong and well-rounded clinicians in the various fields of study. MGH prepares their students to excel in their chosen career paths.
Great system in place to make sure learning is integrated with real world experience. Faculty are excellent and knowledgeable. Module system of classes means that you focus on one thing at a time and build your base of knowledge. Great interprofessional connections and community partners. You work as teams to tackle tasks so you get lots of interprofessional experience.
My overall outlook on MGH IHP is overwhelming, yet inspiring. When I was accepted to MGH IHP for an Accelerated Bachelor's in Nursing program, to say I was over the moon while excitement would be an understatement. I am able to say I am proud of myself on receiving this acceptance to such a high ranked graduate school. The faculty and student body make you feel at home, comfortable, and confident. Going in I was nervous to say the least, but this community makes you feel as though you are meant to be here and to never second guess it. My only request for something to change would be the cost of tuition. This school is for individuals who already have a bachelor's degree, which means most people are in debt already. This 16 month program I am involved in costing as much as my 4 years at undergraduate is a hard pill to swallow.
Expensive school but you get a unique, well-rounded and structured education. Professors have a lot of experience in the field. The association with one of the nation's top hospitals is an added benefit.
