Marymount University Reviews
Rating 4.75 out of 5 40 reviews
Marymount University is a wonderful school to attend. The location in Arlington is beautiful and the faculty are among the friendliest I have ever met! I went to Marymount during the COVID pandemic and while most schools shut down, Marymount stood tall and adapted to the changes times with hybrid virtual/in person classes. Marymount's commitment to her students is unparalleled in my opinion.
The academics were built around a strong foundational knowledge but didn’t put you in a box - you were able to hone in on any topic you felt passionately about. I loved this balance between structure and freedom because academics can become pretty overwhelming. I found myself researching topics I felt passionately about and topics I had yet to explore. No matter what I chose, my professors supported me and provided me with feedback that I most certainly have grown from. I never once felt overwhelmed or stressed when it came to the faculty and staff - this was a significant source of my stress in my undergraduate studies. To me, this was extremely telling of Marymount’s culture - they made sure you were supported and it felt like a family.
I went to a larger school for undergrad - I loved the close-knit feel at Marymount. My professors were incredible - they were personable, communicated well, and I felt as though they genuinely cared about my well-being and success. Entering grad school was a big nerve wracking but I always felt seen and heard at Marymount. Despite majority of my experience being off-campus due to covid, there were still so many ways to connect with colleagues and explore the many resources and events through Marymount. I would absolutely recommend this school to anyone.
