Marshall School of Business Reviews
Rating 4.71 out of 5 17 reviews
Marshall is a fantastic business program. So far, my academic experience has been nothing short of fantastic. I have never enjoyed school before, but almost every class I have learned new, applicable, and incredibly helpful techniques that I apply in my job every day. Most of the professors are very helpful, and passionate about their subjects.
Marshall has clubs for almost every industry, so depending on your industry of interest, Marshall has clubs to prepare you for interviews and get you great exposure, and they're a great way to network as well. If your industry is not represented, you have the opportunity to create one.
Marshall is still relatively underrepresented in minority categories like women and people of color, but from my understanding, they are working to improve those numbers.

This is the their Master of Management in Library and Information Science program and it is delivered online. Even though I am not in the LA area, I feel like I am deeply connected to this program. The program gave me the confidence and connect to many working professionals outside of USC and building a strong network for myself. Each of their online semesters are 15 weeks long and there are weekly assignments and group projects. You have an opportunity to be a team leader to prepare yourself to take on a manager role in your future career. The professors and support staff are ready to help you with a call or an e-mail. It only gets 4 stars because the program is expensive!
Overall, my experience has been wonderful. As mentioned above, Marshall is making strides to include more underrepresented individuals like women, people of color, and people from LGBTQ+ backgrounds. Marshall does a great job with exposure, but being in the heart of Los Angeles, they could definitely do more outreach in the near communities.
