Indiana University-Purdue University - Indianapolis (IUPUI) Graduate Reviews

12 reviews
IUPUI has an outstanding research faculty and degree programs that offers service-learning and hands on civic engagement. During my first year in graduate school at IUPUI, I was given the opportunity to work with Indiana University Police, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Intercollegiate Athletics and Emergency Preparedness and Continuity at IUPUI on important public safety issues. The courses I have taken thus far has encouraged and enhanced my opinions and views on public safety topics. I found that I can more appropriately express and defend those frontline views on certain public safety topics that are most talked about in the United States and around the world. More specifically, I have researched and examined different modeling techniques related to natural disasters, emergency management and Geographic Informational Systems. So far, I am enjoying all of the adaptive learning courses offered at IUPUI, and I am excited to experience what is next.

Indiana University – Purdue University, Indianapolis is a great school located in the middle of downtown Indianapolis. It’s a relatively young school, only having been around for 50 years or so, so there is some improvement. The positives include the location, cost of tuition, the strong academic focus, and some professors. Some areas of improvement include the need for strong professors and the need to develop a more cohesive campus. Since it is a primarily a commuter campus, it is difficult to build that college feel. However, the school is taking active steps and initiatives specifically centered on building this culture and making IUPUI a more student friendly place.
I actually attend IUPUC, it was not listed on your guys site. Its a Great small school experience. The professors are willing to help one on one more often than bigger universities. Beautiful campus and its close to home. The party life is not what attracted me and nor are there any. I do not live in the student housing, I live on my own elsewhere.
