Hampton University Reviews
Rating 3.94 out of 5 16 reviews
I am starting my graduate program at Hampton University in the fall. Since being accepted into the University, I have had members of the Physical Therapy Department and current students in the program reach out to me welcoming me into the Hampton University family. They have made me aware directed me to helpful resources that I may need during my time of study at the University, including providing textbook resources. Though I have not yet started, I am excited to know that I immediately have a support system of people willing and available to help me throughout my journey in graduate school.
The professors within my degree program are generally very good. Also, there are regular opportunities broadcast to students via e-mail for job programs, job opportunities, and internships. The underlying problem is the administrative process, or process in general at Hampton University. The university is run like a mom and pop store, where no single individual feels they can take personal action to help a student. Rather, they typically tell you to go elsewhere for help, referring you to someone who has no specialization for your need. In the end, you wind up back at your original location speaking to the same person all over again. It's called the "Hampton Runaround" on campus.
Most buildings are substandard, and need professional updating.

Have not attended yet, but am excited to experience new things in a new place! Seems diverse and progressive.
