Gordon College Reviews
Rating 4.4 out of 5 5 reviews
While attending Gordon College, I found the online classes to be extremely beneficial for my learning. The professors were very knowledgeable and always available to help, which created a strong sense of community among my fellow students. The curriculum was demanding and applicable, and it allowed me to grow academically and personally. Unfortunately, due to financial limitations, I had to put my education on hold. Receiving the scholarship for graduate students would greatly assist me in overcoming these financial obstacles and allow me to resume my studies at Gordon College. I am enthusiastic about contributing to the college community and pursuing my educational aspirations.
The College has excellent teachers. They are known around the state, are engaging, and really cares for each one of the student's success. One down part that we are experiencing as of today, is because the College has neglected to enforce the Massachusetts gay rights on campus, it has lost significant amount of support from the State. Economically the College is struggling and therefore, quite a few of the programs (majors) had to be shut down. The new system is getting under control, but as of now is not that stable. For example we are experiencing lack of chemistry teachers (so the classes are online) for the science students (chem was one of the majors that was shut down). It is a significant change for the students to adapt to and do not a recommendable path especially when one did not think of online studying coming to the college.
The academics are rigorous, encourage critical thinking and application, and prepare you for the field you are going in to. The standards are high but this encourages excellence, motivation and a desire to do well.
