The academic program was very rigorous but manageable. The courses do require a great deal of independent time outside of regularly scheduled classes, but the workload was not impossible to complete. Any assignments that were given were relatable to multiple scenarios in the real world.
The experimental psychology graduate program is a great, well-rounded program that assists anyone that is wanting to pursue a research field. The curriculum is cohesive, it’s adaptive, and the professors really enjoy their work. The research thesis is strenuous and difficult, but it’s worth it and informative, allowing you to get publications afterward.
The biggest thing that I’d change is the school’s response to equality and equity among students on campus. There have been several instances where students engaged in overt racist/aggressive behaviors but the administration didn’t respond appropriately to it.

The academic programs that I've experienced are the Biology and Premed. Both have been clear and straightforward with what needs to be accomplished in both counselors and classes. The GSU programs are all open so students can understand what they are getting into and what supported me into entering the school. They make sure you have what you need to get your degree and be prepared for the future without wasting time on classes that are not needed; as well as giving opportunities that support a students future career.
