Fort Valley State University Graduate Reviews

Being a graduate student has been very challenging yet life changing.

I began my graduate studies in the Fall of 2018. I was very nervous about enrolling into a graduate program after not attending school for 3 consecutive years, however, the support and love from the professors and students made my experience at Fort Valley State University easier.

New friendships were formed and I gained more knowledge concerning Mental Health and how to be effective counselor. Each professor has their own unique teaching styles, however, each style allowed us as students to grow and develop individually not just collectively.

Each student were responsible to create PowerPoint presentations on mental health related topics as well develop and act out. mock counseling session to better train and equip us for field work.

I am proud to be a student at FVSU.

Compared to the excitement I felt being excepted and how I feel now, it has not been the experience that I was expecting, but after I complete my certification, I will be thankful for being able to provide skilled services to my students, staff, and community stakeholders.
I would have like to known before I begin program that they had lost their accreditation for this particular program.
