Greatest experience in my life. Going to an HBCU was the best decision I could have ever made. My daughter is attending one now.
The coursework was engaging and fun. Professors are willing to help those who are willing to help themselves.
the academics are absolutely the best they have a really good law program which is super awesome and I love it.
this is a good hbcu I love it they are so fun and it feels like a family when I'm there and its awesome experience if you love being active
The academics of Florida A & M is very expansive. They offer a various amount of courses that can be taken, there are several majors on offer such as nursing, pharmacy, and engineering. We are also famed for our Marching 100 Band and that is definitely a career option for future musicians.
This university is the first step toward unlocking my future. It offers a multitude of majors and degree programs, and I am able to study architecture with great professors.
The staff are nice and willing to help. The university experience includes the societies and activates that take part in and the skills that I, as well as the memories and friends that you make.
FAMU Law is a great environment! I feel like the professors really want to see us succeed and so do my fellow classmates (which is rare for a typical law school). Nobody is overly-competitive and we have a sense of being in this together. Love that it is a small school and a tight knit group.
The school really does provide you with a lot of tools to help digest the difficult material. We have access to a lot of online resources that offer different forms of assistance and suit different learning styles. Although the work can be difficult, I never feel like we are ill-equipped to figure it out.
The course work was challenging but I overcame it with dedication and hard work. We had groups that will allow us to teach ourselves and better our grades
The school of education has provided a cohort experience that has enhanced my learning from both our professors and our peers.
The academics at FAMU coursework was both engaging and appropriately challenging. I appreciate the feedback and support our professors provided. I wish their were more scholarship opportunities for graduate students.
My experience at Florida A&M University was great. Attending a Historically Black College or University is an unmatched experience. I attended undergrad there so I was familiar with the university. The grad school experience wasn't as exciting as undergrad, maybe because I was older and focused on my coursework. I encourage all to attend. The MSW program was great.
The campus is a comfortable environment and easy to navigate. Professors are knowledgable, and for my experience, open to debate and to differences of opinion. Resources are available for tutoring, writing help, counseling, career guidance, and many others.
Too many hills.

My experience while being at this university has made me cone out of my shell, and felt more like a FAMUly , and I love that I came to this school.
Florida A&M University has the best engineering program in the nation. It is filled with great people that come from all over the world to find themselves and find what major best fits them. The campus living is amazing and the parties are always at its tops. Once I stepped on campus I knew for a fact that I was right at home. Florida A&M has so much to offer and I would recommend this college to anyone who is looking for a school that's not too big, but is big enough to find yourself and make new friends. With Florida A&M having the best engineering program, it also has the best band in the land. The football games are always hype because once the football team hits the locker room, that band comes out and plays the house down!
I am a current graduate student at FAMU, whom was also a transfer student. Overall, the campus is nice. Many of the important buildings that are a necessity to the student is there (ie. financial aid, admissions, registrar, and the library). The professors are truly there for the student and they are very sincere about their student's academia. In addition to support, FAMU is the most diverse campus that I have observed/experienced in all of my educational experiences.
