Colorado School of Mines Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 2 reviews
This school is straight up just hard so if you are looking for a college experience its not the place to go, but if you are looking for an education and to set yourself then its 10/10. I came in loving the idea of being around like minded people who are engineers, but in retrospect and graduating soon I wish there was more diversity in the people and majors because honestly engineers can be boring as hell. There are the ups and downs of school, but all nighters are not uncommon and upwards of 80hrs of homework a week are not uncommon in sophomore and junior year.
Its rigorous and if you fall behind good luck because it will take at least two weeks to catch up and you will have to work for it. I run probably 60-100 hrs worth of simulations a week and do homework on top of that so to say the work load is a lot is an understatement but going into the workforce is refreshing because it is a lot less work. This school has taught me a lot, but most of all how to be a good worker and how to power through when things get tough especially with how to balance life and school at the same time.
