My experience to date has been good. In addition to an Academic Advisor, the school assigns a Success Coordinator to assist students navigate the system. The success coordinator is available to provide general support and connect students to other resources. Orientation occurs asynchronously and provides detailed information related to just about every topic needed to have a successful learning experience. Orientation is presented in modules that address several need to know topics. Modules covered in orientation included topics such as, setting up your student profile, configuring your student profile, completing necessary school forms. Other modules addressed Dimensions of success and learning style surveys and demonstration of proficiency with technology. You also learn about contact resources for departments, such as IT. The best part is, all the resources and information in orientation are always easily accessible through your student portal.

A world class education in a wonderful small town setting. Professors are knowledgeable and approachable. Facilities (especially at the Mason School of Business) are superb. Executive Partners work with directly with MBA students as mentors for class projects, and as professional career advisors. Student body is incredibly diverse, with folks hailing China, Japan, Vietnam, India, Brazil, Mexico, and more. Additionally, the school is very military friendly: US military veterans make up approximately 15% of each MBA cohort. Initial class size consists of 50 students for first year core classes. This number normally drops to an average of 15 students per class during the second year. Courses are well taught, and thoroughly thought provoking.
The overall experience at W&M has been great. The environment of Colonial Williamsburg is amazing to walk and see new things. The academics and others students are great as well. Additionally, the resources offered at William and Mary are exceptional.
