College of Health and Human Services - San Diego State University Reviews
Rating 5 out of 5 2 reviews
I am a 3rd-year Master of Science student in the School of Public Health, concentrating in Environmental Health Sciences. I felt this program is very strong. I enjoyed all my professors, they were friendly and reasonably tough. I felt I had a lot of support from the faculty whenever I asked for it. I would 10/10 recommend this program to others interested in Environmental or Public Health. Additionally, the campus is beautiful, we have a new upgraded gym and membership is included in tuition fees. There is a lot to do on your downtime in San Diego.
I wish only tuition was less expensive, it rises every year and so does the cost of living in San Diego. It is frustrating to be charged for the degree, publishing your thesis, and any extra time you need to finish your thesis (even when you have finished your classes). It could be a lot more affordable.

I felt the academics was strong here. Especially the advanced statistics course I took with Professor Lemus, he is an excellent teacher, so are the epidemiology and toxicology professors. The graduate-level water quality class is very enriching because they incorporate a lot of field trips. Additionally a lot of the graduate level public health classes incorporate guest lecturers and lots of group work.
