My overall experience at Edinboro was great. Whether in the dorms or apartments and whether online or on campus the atmosphere of friends and classes were great. There is only one thing I may change in regards to the advisors. They did not really help as much as I had expected in finding a career that was attainable. They didn't give any help or tips on how to achieve what I wanted to do. In the end I've chosen to take a different path than when I was working towards my bachelor's degree. Instead of criminal justice I've chosen to pursue psychology for my masters degree. Edinboro was a source of great memories and an awesome school experience. I would highly recommend Edinboro to anyone looking for a college either for an Associates degree bachelor's degree or masters degree. Money well spent just in the experiences and learning aspects alone.
I attended Edinboro for my associates and bachelor's degrees. I lived on campus in the dorms for 2 years which was great. My RA had meetings once a week so we could all get to know each other and be sort of a family. Then I lived in the apartments on campus due to having a baby. The apartments are close to campus and there was a daycare on campus that greatly helped me in pursuing my degrees. This was all back up to 2012 or so and I wasn't able to finish my bachelors degree. The classes were very well taught by awesome professors that actually cared about your life and how that effected your studies. They were all more like friends then professors. I was able to work with my previous advisor just this past year to gain my bachelor's without having to take any more classes. He did it all for me which was a blessing. I ended up graduating in January of 2022. I am enrolling back at Edinboro for my masters to ensure a great life for my children.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to learn from Edinboro's Communications, Journalism and Media Department faculty. Most of them have provided the highest quality of education and experience I could have asked for. It's unfortunate one of their best is being let go, while they're keeping a few that students refuse to take classes from.
