Capella University Reviews
Rating 4.57 out of 5 645 reviews
The coursework is great! It's an online program, so one should expect a whole lot of reading and writing, but the program provides some interactive assignments that are more engaging and present realistic situations to learn from. The professors have high expectations of students and are great about communicating when they see issues both with specific students and the class as a whole. The in-person residencies really tie everything together once you have been completing online courses, they are key to really being able to apply what you've learned online and the instructors are incredibly engaging during these pieces.
My experience with Capella University has truly been a blessing and motivating journey. Capella’s campus presents easy navigation, with minimum to no interruptions for system upgrades. My goal to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor ignited several years ago. The Capella Administration offers online support for technical issues that enables a learner to correct system or computer matters in a timely manner. Finally, Capella’s guided counseling program ensures I am on track with my legal state of residency of Florida’s licensure requirements, ethical and legal standards, while adhering to the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs requirements.

I am enrolled into the Clinical Mental Health graduate program, and the counseling staff have been supportive through their motivation responses, feedback and assisting with all academic concerns. The course room layout is a sustain framework for establishing weekly requirements, with guided lessons. I appreciate how each week coursework includes working links to the library, interactive exercises, connection to internet-based articles and uploading weekly assignments. Additionally, I value to Safe Assign application that allows learners to upload assignments prior to final submission for review and editing. This benefit gives me, the learner, an opportunity to examine my work, ensuring potential plagiarism is not present.
Additionally, my counseling program, weekly availability to a faculty advisor or academic coach is essential to seeking support regarding Capella academic expectations, updated information and licensure requirements based on learner’s career choice.
