I am undergraduate student in Calstate LA for second semester already. My major and passion is Criminal Justice. I am enjoying college program and classes that are specified by my major. All professors I took in college are great! They are encouraging students to think outside the box, provide any needed resources and their time to help you with any academic questions and advice! It’s really great communication between students and professors in the college! Whenever you emailing them you getting despond very fast. I really appreciate their work and consideration they have for their students. I love everything in our LA campus! It’s a convenient location and always available parking.
I received my undergraduate at California State University, Los Angeles in Sociology. I took a semester off and was accepted into the Masters in Social Work program. I have enjoyed my experience and time at CSULA, so I decided I wanted to attend graduate school with them.
I look forward to seeing the difference between undergraduate to graduate school. The Masters in Social Work program is a cohort program which makes me feel very comfortable when it comes to community building and creating life long relationships where my fellow classmates and I can lean on each other when we need support.

My academic experience so far has not been smooth sailing, however I have gained confidence in my writing and in my personal thought process. The hard work and tears I have put into my graduate program have shown me how resilient I am despite the outside factors. My program is social justice centered and, although it we have had some tough conversations, they are conversations worth having. I have learned so much from my peers and professors who have allowed us an environment to engage with each other rather than focusing solely on what the professor is teaching. I have found my voice in this program and I am excited to use it when I graduate in May 2024. I plan to work in higher education, supporting students from all walks of life. My goal is to assist in providing the best academic experience.
