Belhaven University’s Online Biblical Studies program has been a wonderful experience for me. God has led me through interesting classes with many dedicated professors and given me the opportunity to grow in His Word. I’ve learned from Him, the Bible, the textbooks, the professors and even the other students themselves. I have learned that the Bible is a tool and an instrument for living. Using it to measure and navigate current day events, thoughts, feelings, and experiences has provided me with a wealth of wisdom and encouragement. And the more I know the more I realize there is still so much that I don’t! I am so thankful for God leading me to Belhaven! “Scriptures are shallow enough for a babe to come and drink without fear of drowning and deep enough for a theologians to swim in without ever touching the bottom" St. Jerome
My current academic year as a sophomore is great! The teachers are very nice, organized, supportive, and take a lot about their students. My teachers are very supportive of me and my work I do as I complete their assignments they given to their class. I also do work-study here, my employer and fellow employees treat me with respect, kindness, and dignity. I'm glad that I stuck with my decision to only go to Belhaven and not any other colleges who probably can't provide for me as well as Belhaven can!
The best part of my academic experience is having the opportunity to take my career to a higher level by gaining knowledge from the institution I am enrolled in. The professors are very knowledgeable and deliver material clearly and concisely yet challenging to all students. I have learned an extensive array of information that can apply to my current occupation and information that I will need to take my career to the next level. Since the school has been great, the only part I can consider being the worst would be the struggle to create a viable work, school, and home balance and figure out the best way to fund my education. I am financing out of pocket, so this struggle includes long work hours and sacrificing some amenities. However, even with the worst part, the good outweighs the bad, and the journey will be worthwhile.
