I enjoyed the program as a whole. All the staff that I had direct interaction with were helpful and wanted student success.
The Master's in Administration program was as expected as far as intensity and time management. A few classes did not specifically apply to my work, but beneficial nonetheless.
The course work thus far has been engaging and challenging. The professor really seem to care about the students. The assignments are typically not a waste of time but every once in a while they are.
Thus far it has been great. The university reaches out and makes sure things are going well. They are more than willing to help out if things aren’t going so well.
The professors are mostly at the doctoral level. They provide their wisdom, knowledge and guidance to assist students to achieve their best and highest.
I feel like it's my second home. I love my fellow classmates and the faculty and staff. Many opportunities to learn academically and socially.
Helped me learn and grow and mature professionally. Classes are flexible and very accomodating while being appropriately challenging.
The advisors are the best they take their time to go through details that you need to know and are very patient with you
After viewing other Universities I've found their programs to be on top of the line, their layout of different subjects very organized and in line with the requirements. The programs offered are excellent.
The academics are very well and the teachers are clear on what they want. The work is manageable and not stressful.
I am a new Graduate Student at Barry University. So far so good. My experience is a little different because I am matriculating during COVID-19. I am at home Sheltered in Place.
Online tests and lectures are a challenge sometimes. There was a lot of work. During the pandemic, retakes should be offered.
The school is very responsive with all their students' questions and concerns. They are caring and detailed with their responses. The student demographics are also diverse and pleasing. Faculty are always supportive of their students' studies and are readily available via email, phone, and office hours.
Anatomy was horrible when my class had it; they put a nurse to teach us something he had clearly never taught— it was a fiasco. The only good professors were Hanson, Fien, Mattox, Jimenez and the micro teacher.
The physician assistant program was horrible. They had 0 empathy for students. For example, for rotations they would place students 100 miles away while there were other students who were able to request a closer rotation— they picked and chose who to favor and who to punish. There were only a handful of professors that were actually good. Some would blatantly tell us wrong information to the point that we would take it upon ourselves to teach ourselves. The labs and workshops had incredibly outdated supplies and materials. The program was so disorganized that they were not able to get some students licensed after graduation for months— even though this required just a simple form filled out on their end.
Barry University is a great school. The classes are small so each professor knows your name by the first few weeks of the semester. I have called my professors multiple times to ask them questions on assignments or to further explain the details of the subject matter and they have always answered.
The program has been in good standing for years and the professors will give you every opportunity they can for a hands on experience. They will make sure you have resources to use and labs to fulfill the curriculum.
