Bard College Reviews

Classes are challenging and the workload is daunting. Having a part-time job the first year is nearly impossible as you will spend the majority of your time, reading, writing, and doing research. Classes are in science, economics, and policy, allowing you to look at environmental issues through each of these lenses. The first year revolves around a lot of group projects. The second year is all about your individual interests and career development as you write your thesis and work full-time.
Bard's Environmental Policy program was rigorous, but rewarding. It's a small campus and a small classroom, so you're able to focus on your work and develop as an academic while forming close friendships with your classmates. The second year is great because you get to intern full-time anywhere you want which allows you to focus on your individual career development after a year of group work.
The college is located on the Hudson River and has some of the most amazing liberal arts program in the country!
