I am completing my 2nd semester at Auburn University. I am an online student, enrolled in the dual degree MBA / MS Finance dual degree program. I also recently added a Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics to my credentials list. I have taken classes both as a studio recorded pace and watching live lectures (although my work schedule does not allow me to sign in live during the lecture times). Overall, the staff and faculty at Auburn have been great. You can hear the passion in the professors delivery of the lectures and interaction with the on-campus cohort, with one even donning a mullet wig in his lecture this week to help the students visualize an example case study. After discussing my lack of business world background, my advisor has geared me towards and away from certain professors, believing I will gain more out of certain professors delivery techniques. So far, I have yet to doubt her accuracy.
When you come to Auburn you gain a family! It is really the loveliest village on the plains. The professors are willing to help as long as you ask. Don't let the semester go past without asking for help if you need it. I came to Auburn as a transfer student for my undergraduate, and now I am back for my graduate degree. Not to mention I gained a family in my fellow student veterans as well as a job after graduation.
I've recently started my graduate studies and I already have a good first impression of the program. I've applied for the program late and wanted to attend in the spring. My advisor went above and beyond to ensure that I would get enrolled into the program. The professors themselves seem to be really passionate and knowledgeable about what they are teaching. They genuinely seem to care about the success of their students.
