Arkansas State University Reviews

PROS: This school is both responsive and proactive with communication. Administrative offices tend to be very responsive and understanding. My professors and advisors tend to be responsive and fair as well. The program is well designed for a working professional to complete online and it is affordable compared to many of the other options I have seen. I appreciate the class line-up as I feel it is well-targeted to my profession. I have the opportunity to learn many applicable/practical things. I appreciate how someone calls every few weeks to check on my progress and to ensure I have no questions.
CONS: it is VERY hard to get anyone the phone. Some offices/advisors seem to have no associated phone number at all. Also, it has taken almost a year for them to process a transfer class request. Even though it has been approved and I have asked about it multiple times, it still has not gone through (I've been told it just takes time, but a year is a long time).

I loved that Arkansas State offered an online program for Sports Administration that was flexible for students who work full-time jobs. For the most part, the teachers are understand of the students and that they have lives outside of school. The teachers work with us in order to be successful in these classes. I enjoy that the class terms are 7 weeks, yet we are still able to learn a substantial amount of information in this short amount of time. I also love the fact that we are able to graduate in a little under a year. This program has been phenomenal.
I am over halfway through my program now and have not had a bad professor yet. I found the professors to be responsive, understanding, fair, and challenging (on the whole). I appreciate the class line-up as I feel it is well-targeted to my profession. I have the opportunity to learn many applicable/practical things.
