Youngstown State University is a good school for the most part! I believe the desk attendants in the dorms could be a little tighter on security. The one downfall of this campus is diversity is almost slim to none. You hardly see international students, or students of other races come outside. I wish there more events for minorities to meet up on campus. I also don't like how parking is ten minutes away from classes, I wish parking was closer. We also don't have many food or shopping options on campus, everything is a ten or twenty-minute drive. I wish we had more food opportunities and stores within walking distance.
My experience as a first year Youngstown State employee was phenomenal. I was a collegiate as well running track and field for the university . The education was top notch and for a fair price as well! The one thing I would change about the campus would be the opportunities, what I mean by that is they need more things to get you involved with the town on campus
The University is not only beautiful, but the staff there are so kind and helpful! They make you excited for the upcoming years with special events and activities they plan. I have been to the campus several times and start this month and can’t wait to see and meet all my classmates and professors!
