York Technical College Reviews
This is my second year here at York Tech after graduating from York Preparatory High School, and I have genuinely enjoyed my experience thus far. I have completed my prerequisites, and will be starting the Associate's Degree in Nursing program this August. York Tech is a smaller, more intimate campus setting; while some could see that as a hindrance, I personally find it advantageous. In addition to the mutual motivation and promotion for success among faculty and students, York Tech also exemplifies and encourages student participation with upcoming activities year round. I am presently a Student Ambassador, as well as a member of the PROMISE/ STEM Program and president of the Christian Fellowship Club. Although I am involved in a multiple organizations, my story is only “scratching the surface” of what York Tech has to offer! 10/10 Recommend!
York Technical College is exceptionally mediocre when it is looked at as a whole. There are a handful of classes that are OK, but it is clear that the college focuses heavily on trade-skill classes. Aside from that, the Financial Aid office is a nightmare. I attended York Tech for a total of 6 semesters, and for every semester, I had to fight with financial aid because they continuously messed up calculations. My first semester, the school tried to keep nearly $800 of my Federal Tuition Assistance refund.
It's a great technical for programs for college transfer, technology, and great costs. It may not have the full on college experience, but it's also a pro to help you focus on classwork, projects, etc. If your're having problems with understanding a class, they have a wonderful sources with programs that offer tutoring. Even though there are some flaws that they should work on, the overall experience is good and I recommend those who wants to go to college with an affordable cost.
