Yakima Valley Community College Reviews
Review Yakima Valley Community College
My experience with online courses has been great! Our online system, Canvas, is easy to understand and easy to access. The workload is about the same as a course that is in-class. The registration process for an online course is also identical to the registration process of an in-class course. Professors are great about messaging students and answer any emails very quickly. Peer-to-peer in great because most teachers assign discussions that require students to interact with each other.
Yakima Valley Community College is pretty affordable compared to most universities around me, it is closer to home and it is a fairly small school. Great if you do not like really crowded areas. I like it because the classes are easy, the professors are outgoing and and the people who attend the school are friendly and nice. I enjoy attending this college, I mentioned earlier, it is closer to home and it is not so crowded. The only thing I did not like was the financial aid people making me go back and forth, lets consider it takes at least half an hour to get there from my house because they kept making everything complicated. Overall it is a good school.
Yakima Valley Community College, located in Yakima WA, is a small college but has various opportunities for college students. There is a variety of classes to choose from and counselors are always there to assist you when you’re unsure of what classes to take. The instructors actually care about their students not just about their grades in the class. They make an effort to get to know their students and are willing to make time to help them. It’s definitely a cost effective and affordable college which also provides dorms located close by. Typically, community colleges don’t provide students with dorms but YVCC does. It’s a great college to choose if you’re looking to start in an affordable community college to then transfer to a 4-year university, or just remain there. Regardless, I recommend YVCC to all.
