The faculty at Wiregrass are very nice and helpful! The small campus environment is easily accessible and conducive to learning. The college provides hands-on learning for most programs of study making it easy to grasp academic concepts. Different modalities of teaching are used in the classroom which attracts individuals as myself as I learn in a variety of ways. The Wiregrass campus tours are well planned out and helps the high school students experience first hand observations in the classroom as well as exposes them to the college campus. I am grateful that our surrounding community allows for a wonderful technical school such as Wiregrass Georgia Tecnical College that offers so many academic choices and careers to fill those trades that are high in demand and will provide families the training needed for successful jobs.
the moment I walked into that campus, I could feel the positive atmosphere. When I walked into admissions everyone was so helpful, professional and nice! Seriously, they all genuinely seemed to love their life and job. Not only was it the admissions department that was friendly but the ladies who helped me enroll in classes, financial aid, the VA representative, people in the hallway. It was incredible the feeling I had when I left. I was happy and excited to start my academic career with this school!
Overall, this is a good school with a very kind and helpful teaching faculty. The office is disorganized; having lost some of my forms or incorrectly grouping me (resulting in me being drop from classes), etc. I enjoyed my classes and learned a lot from my teachers. I gained an appreciation for classes that I didn’t enjoy in middle and high school but ended up looking forward to after each class. The school is affordable and offers many scholarship and grant opportunities if you make the grades. I would recommend for someone looking to complete their core classes, start at a smaller school, or learn a trade.
